The Pussycats Dolls - noile revelatii de peste Ocean 27 septembrie 2005
De mult a aparut un stereotip al unei trupe de fete care au facut istorie precum Shirelles, Shangri-Las, 702 si Spice Girls ; ce au aparut in costume deosebite, au avut versuri sincronizate si coregarfii dar si certuri interne. Numai ca au aparut Pussycat Dolls care vor si sunt altfel.
Direct din Viper Room (Los Angeles), unde ele aveau spectacole in care parodiau artisti cunoscuti, au aparut Pussycats Dolls.Fetele nu vor sa fie asemanate cu nimic din ceea ce a existat pana acum ci vor sa fie considerate pioniere cu noul stil pe care il aduc.
"Noi suntem cele mai tari. Intr-adevar au mai fost trupe cu care semanam dar, suntem total altceva. Suntem exact cum spun versurile "Hot, Raw, Freaky and Fun' " spune razand Nicole Scherzinger, lidera trupei. "Cred ca suntem una din cele mai tari trupe aparute. nici Spice Girls nu au fost de trecut cu vederea, dar noi suntem versiunea mai noua si imbunatatita. Deci... cred ca nu e 'Girl Power,' ci 'Doll Power.' "
Scherzinger, Carmit Bachar, Ashley Roberts, Jessica Sutta, Melody Thornton si Kimberly Wyatt - Pussycat Dolls isi promoveaza motto-ul : "Doll Power" cu ajutorul primului lor single, "Don't Cha," ce a devenit un fel de imn neoficial al verii.
"Versurile "Nu ti-ai dori o fata asa ca mine ? nu sunt foarte agresive insa in felul in care sunt cantate incearca sa imbarbateze orice fata oriunde s-ar afla si orice ar fi patit . Ne dorim ca si ele sa simta ceea ce simtim noi" a spus Scherzinger. "Si cand o interpretam toate fetele din public speram sa simta ce simtim si noi de aceea le-o dedicam de fiecare data."
Piesa "Don't Cha" a fost scrisa si produsa de nimeni altul decat Cee-Lo Green (vezi "Neptunes, Ludacris Help Cee-Lo Operate His Soul Machine",si este una din multele colaborari de pe albumul de debut al Pussycat Dolls lansat pe 13 septembrie. Will.I.Am de la Black Eyed Peas a produs urmatorul probabil single "Beep," iar inegalabilul producator Timbaland a lucrat la "Wait a Minute" si "Physical." Toti invitatii sunt doar o mica parte din planul care ar trebui sa le aduca pe cele mai inalte pozitii ale topurilor. Se adauga la asta propriul lor stil, versurile si sex appeal-ul - astfel descoperim o reteta de succes garantat.
