Chart performance
"Beep" did not perform as well as the previous singles, "Don't Cha" and "Stickwitu", in the US which became Billboard top 5 hits. "Beep" performed slightly weaker reaching #13, their first and so far only single not to make the top ten or top 5 in the US. "Beep" also performed poorly on the Canadian singles chart where it reached #48, and it did not perform well on the Canadian BDS airplay chart either peaking at #45. The single has performed better in other countries like the UK where it has become the group's their third consecutive top 3 hit and has peaked at #2 there, and has sold around about 175,000 copies. "Beep" also performed well in Australia where it reached #3 becoming their third consecutive top 3 hit there also. Meanwhile, "Beep" became a massive hit in New Zealand where it spent seven consecutive weeks at #1, and became the second highest selling single in New Zealand of the year 2006. "Beep" has reached #5 in Germany and #7 in Austria and has also made the French top 10 peaking exactly at #10. "Beep" has reached #5 on the united world. It also gained the #1 spot in MTV (UK) Hits' "Top 100 Songs of 2006". "Beep" also achieved a top 30 position on the Australian 2006 end of year chart, coming in at #24. It was one of four PCD songs to reach the Australian end of year chart with the others being, "Stickwitu" (#29), "Buttons" (#17) and "I Don't Need A Man" (#55).
